IELTS EXAM: THE WHOLE TRUTH

In this article I want to explain everything you need to know if you are preparing to take the IELTS Pakistan, a test that verifies your knowledge of the English language: by reading this in-depth study, you will understand what the ielts exam consists of, how to calculate the score, the different parts in which it is divided and how to best prepare.

WHAT IS THE IELTS EXAM?

The IELTS EXAM is a test of your English language skills divided into four parts: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The various sections of the test follow one after the other without interruption. Your Speaking test could take place on the same day, along with the other three parts of the test or in the seven days before or after the exam session day. The total time of the exam is however below three hours.

What's this? Ielts, acronym for International English Language Testing System, is an exam on the English language, which can be taken in as many as 100 different countries and recognized in all English-speaking countries such as Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

But be aware that the online version is only available in the Academic Module.

The university or college you wish to OET Pakistan attend will inform you about the IELTS Band Score (i.e. the score) they require to enroll in the course you are interested in.

Pay attention: a minimum score is required in particular Sub-tests (usually in the Writing or Speaking test).

How are General and Academic different?

Both tests have the same part of Listening and Speaking, while Reading and Writing differ in terms of contents; in particular, the Academic requires a broader knowledge of the lexicon and a better written expressive ability than the Writing of the General. In particular as regards the written part, it is required to perform the analysis of a diagram, in addition to the execution of an essay.

The analysis of the diagram, which may also seem very difficult at the beginning, turns out to be less difficult once you have learned the necessary vocabulary (for example: it grows, decreases, peaks, shows a relapse etc ...).

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT FROM EACH SECTION OF THE IELTS EXAM

Of these 30 minutes, allow about 20 minutes Teacher Training Pakistan to listen to the recording and to answer questions about what you have heard and ten minutes to transfer the answers to the answer sheet.
